Eye Check-up Camp at Masad on 5th October, 2025
Masad Bk. is a Village in Pen Taluka in Raigad District of Maharashtra State, India. Masad is a common name for villages with specific villages like Masad Beli, Masad Bk (Bada), and Masad Kh (Khurd) that form the cluster of Masad. Cobined population of the 3 villages together would be around 500 people. Most are engaged in farmiong, fishing and loacal jobs in nearby JSW or running own enterprises like shops/ autorickshaw or tempo services.
TOTAL NUMBER OF BENEFICIARIES IMPACTED:
We conducted 147 eye check-ups, and 89 beneficiaries were given Free specs.
27 beneficiaries needed surgical intervention, and the necessary arrangements were made so that they could avail free treatment.
Javab Foundation was approached by Ahilya Mahila Mandal.
The Ashram has about 20+ girls and provides free hostel and food besides arranging for their education in the nearby Schools and Colleges.
Ther hostel building is available free of cost to Ahilya Mahila Mandal for running this hostel. The structure is over 270 years’ old. Internal walls, flooring, electrical work, painting and provision of amenities requires support.
