Adivasi School Education Support and Tree Planting @ Mahagaon, Pen, Raigad, Maharashtra

Mahagaon Village in Pen, Raigad is at a distance of a little over 100 Km from Mumbai.

The population is approx. 2,000 people. The community comprises largely of people with small land holdings, and marginal workers engaged in factories in & around Khopoli, Alibagh, Pen, and resorts/dhabas etc. Some youth are also working in the nearby JSW Plants or logistic hubs.

Kulaba Zilha Adivasi Seva Mandal Pali was established in 1956 by Shri keshav Govinda Limaye First President of Raigad District in 1960. He did it with the aim of to being tribal Students into the mainstream of education. He started an education system with accommodation that is Ashramshala In order to provide education as well as residencial facility tribal, poor, needy and orphan kids.

JAVAB has supported the Padsare School that is near Mahagaon with a Smart TV to support the Education needs of the students as well as to help them watch content through the internet as well it can be connected to their Laptops to teach children. In addition, the school through it’s children has also been entrusted with planting 70 trees and caring for them.
